Row 71 ch2, crossed hdc across until the center point. 3hdcs, crossed hdc across remaining side ch1 turn
Row 72 SC in each sc across both sides
Fasten off.
For button loop, attach yarn to beginning chain in 3rd loop. Chain 8 slip stitch in 5th chain. Weave in ends. Attach medium to large button right before the dishtowel begins.
I blocked my towel by wetting it, and laying it flat and smoothing it out on another towel overnight. It measures 13 inches at its longest point (without measuring the hanging loop part)

Thanks so much for sharing this pattern. It's really cute and helped me use up alot of stash yarn.

Wonderful! I've been trying to use up stash too! :)
ReplyDeleteI have a quick question for rows 44 - 50 and 54-60 and 64-70, am i supposed to alternate the front loops and back loops with the row or not?
ReplyDeleteHi Amber! Just follow the special instructions for those rows indicated only, for the remaining rows use both loops of the sc.
ReplyDeleteDo you think this could be continued to make a big square instead of a quarter of it? Hope you understand this. In other words, keep going until it's more like a granny square, but using this stitch.
